MEET DR. GIL - GIL BURGSTEDE, M.D.
Author, Educator and Director of The Heart Centering Network
Since he was a young child Dr. Gil had the desire to become a physician. He was inspired by a family physician that emulated compassion, kindness and generosity to his family after they immigrated from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After graduating from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completing his residency through the University of Illinois, he became a small town family physician. Dr. Gil eventually switched to Emergency Medicine. While working in the ER, he began the search for the missing something he felt within himself, which was also reflected back to him in the vast and unstoppable health crises that were affecting his patients and co-workers. What was the source of all this and what was the solution?

Through searching and guidance from others who were exploring the emerging potentials of humans to experience wholeness, his life began to shift from engaging life intellectually to an energetic understanding and engagement. The missing something, the heart’s energy (unifying experience), was recognized and more frequently embodied. Dr. Gil increasingly experienced times of unburdening from the stressors of daily living, and a renewed passion, meaning and purpose for life. Dr. Gil went on to teach many colleagues, coworkers and patients how to center to engage “The Heart’s Unifying Power/Energy” and hold a heart centered presence, yet the capacity to more fully engage the heart’s unifying power was illusive.

It was then in the midst of his own struggles, that life brought ER patients who were at the breaking point to Dr. Gil. These patients; the suicidal, the addicted, the relationship conflicted and the dying, revealed the answer he sought. Through these encounters came a “break through” capacity to "Turn on our hearts and share massive doses of unifying “Heart Energy” with others." As a result of these profound life changing energetic experiences, Dr. Gil was inspired to write his first book, Rx: A Dose of Heart. Years later, due to additional events and realizations, the sequel, The Life Changing Power of Heart Centering was written. It explores the mystery of love in its most intimate and expansive form and unlocks the last barriers to our capacity to let our lights shine fully for personal and planetary transformation.
He is now dedicated to the art and science of Heart Centering for Energetically Integrating and Liberating the Full Power of Unity from Within; for personal, collective and planetary Healing, Health and Wholeness as never before possible.

Design, Marketing, Co-Director of the Heart Centering Network
Julia Medema is the Co-Director of Heart Centering Network, where she brings her passion for spiritual exploration, non-traditional healing, and unity to support individuals on their journey of personal transformation. From a young age, Julia had a unique ability to see people's auras, which sparked her deep spiritual connection and curiosity about the unseen energies that shape our lives. However, like many of us, she lost this connection as she moved into adulthood, often overwhelmed by the overstimulation of life's circumstances.
During the lockdown in 2020, Julia felt a powerful call to return to her true essence, embarking on a deep spiritual journey to reclaim her inner knowing and reconnection with the energetic world. This transformative period reignited her passion for uncovering hidden spiritual histories and exploring alternative healing techniques, which are often overlooked in mainstream practices.

After spending a decade in the design & marketing field, her heart has led her back to her true calling: helping to guide others in their own journeys of self-discovery, healing, and connection. She believes that when we work on healing our inner selves, it creates a ripple effect that extends to the world around us, inspiring peace, love, and unity. Her mission is to empower others to begin their own ripple, contributing to a world of profound transformation.
